The 12-month sports bra warranty
Built to last. For real.
Engineered for bigger busts. Built for 12 months.
Most sports bras give up before you do. MAAREE bras don't. Every sports bra we make is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, because we know what we built.
Months of cover
From the day you bought it. Twice the cover most sports bra brands quietly fail to offer at all.

How to claim
Get in touch
Head to our contact form within 12 months of your order. Tell us what's failed. A photo of the defect helps us spot the issue quickly.
Send us the details
We'll need your order number and a quick description of what's gone wrong. We may ask for a couple of follow-up photos so we can see the failure clearly.
We'll repair or replace
If it's a manufacturing defect, we'll repair or replace at no charge. We'll reply within two working days and walk you through what comes next.
What's covered
Stitching that comes apart, where it shouldn't.
Hooks, clasps, or rings that fail through normal use.
Straps that lose their elasticity well before they should.
Padding or linings that bunch, separate, or break down prematurely.
Seams that pucker, twist, or tear during normal wear.
Printing or branding that peels or cracks abnormally.
Any other manufacturing or material fault that's clearly not wear and tear.
What's not covered
Normal wear and tear. A bit of fading, mild pilling, and some elasticity loss after 12 months are all expected.
Damage from washing above 40°C, tumble drying, or drying in direct sunlight.
Damage from sharp objects, falls, or use the bra wasn't designed for.
Bras modified or repaired by anyone other than us.
Bras bought from any source other than maaree.com.
Re:Rack bras (our refurbished line). The Re:Rack range has its own terms.
Common questions
How long should a sports bra actually last?
The honest industry answer is 6 to 12 months of regular use, less if you're rotating the same bra hard for high-impact training. The easy way to remember is to change your bras at the same time you change your shoes. MAAREE bras are built to outlast that average, which is why we back them for 12 months. Most of ours go a lot longer with proper care, especially if you rotate two or three so each one gets a recovery day between wears.
What counts as a manufacturing defect?
Anything that's clearly a fault in how the bra was made, rather than something that came from how it was used or cared for. If you're not sure whether something counts, get in touch with a photo and we'll help you.
Why does a bigger bust make this warranty matter more?
The bigger the cup, the harder a sports bra has to work. More weight on the band, more force through the straps, more stress on every seam every time you move. That's why bras for bigger busts tend to fail sooner than smaller-cup ones. MAAREE bras are engineered specifically for that workload, and the 12-month warranty is how we put our money where the engineering is.
What if my bra fails after 12 months?
Twelve months is the formal limit. However, it's probably time to refresh your wardrobe by this point regardless. So do take a look at our latest collection as it's time to treat yourself to a new colour! Additionally, if you believe you may need to change your size or would just like to check for peace of mind, do book a free online fitting with us.
Will I get a repair, a replacement, or a refund?
The formal outcome under this warranty is a repair or a replacement, decided case by case based on what makes most sense for the failure. Smaller faults get repaired; bigger ones get replaced. Either way, we try to get the bra back to you as soon as possible so that your without it for the shortest time possible.
Is normal wear and tear covered?
No. Some elasticity loss, a bit of fading, and mild pilling on synthetic fabrics are normal after 12 months of regular use. The warranty covers manufacturing or material faults, not the natural lifecycle of the fabric.
Do I have to have had a fitting first?
No, the 12-month warranty applies whether or not you've had a fitting. The chafe-free guarantee is the one that needs a fitting to apply, because it's about how the bra fits you. This warranty is about how the bra is built.
Will I have to pay return postage?
Return postage is covered by us too. Taking all the unnecessary stress away from you.
How does this work alongside the chafe-free guarantee?
They're a pair. The 90-Day Chafe-Free Guarantee covers fit and comfort: if you got fitted by us and the bra still rubs, we'll sort it. The 12-month warranty covers build quality: if the bra fails physically, we'll repair or replace. Two different protections, both running on every bra you buy from us directly.
Looking for the comfort half of this promise? See our 90-day chafe-free guarantee, which covers fit and comfort on every bra you've been fitted in.

The detailed policy
12-month sports bra warranty policy
This is the formal version of the warranty for anyone who wants the detail.
1. Who's covered
This warranty is offered by MAAREE Ltd. (registered in England and Wales, company no. 10301471) to the original purchaser of a new MAAREE sports bra bought directly from us at maaree.com. We can only honour the warranty on orders we have fulfilled, because that is the only way we have the records needed to process a claim.
2. The 12-month period
The warranty runs for 12 months from the date of purchase. A repaired or replacement bra issued under the warranty is covered for the remainder of the original 12-month period, not a fresh 12 months.
3. What this warranty covers
The warranty covers manufacturing or material defects that show up within 12 months of normal wear. That includes things like:
- Stitching that comes apart through no fault of yours.
- Fastenings, hooks, or clasps that fail under normal use.
- Elastic that loses its tension well before its expected life.
- Padding, linings, or seams that bunch, twist, or split before they should.
- Any other build fault that is clearly not wear and tear.
4. What's not covered
- Normal wear and tear, fading, mild pilling, or expected elasticity loss after 12 months.
- Damage from washing above 40°C, tumble drying, drying in direct sun, or any other care outside our recommendations.
- Damage from sharp or hard objects, falls, abnormal impacts, or use outside what the bra is designed for.
- Defects caused by transportation or storage after the bra has reached you.
- Bras modified or repaired by anyone other than us.
- Bras bought from any source other than maaree.com.
- Re:Rack bras, which have their own terms.
5. How a claim is resolved
We'll repair or replace the bra at no charge. The choice between repair and replacement is ours, based on the cost and feasibility of each option and the inconvenience to you. We aim to resolve claims within a reasonable timeframe and we'll keep you posted at each step.
Return postage is your responsibility. If the bra is faulty in a way that triggers your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, postage is on us in line with those rights.
6. How to make a claim
Use our contact form to get in touch within the 12-month window. We'll need your order number, a description of the failure, and a photo or two so we can see what's gone wrong. We'll reply within two working days.
7. Your statutory rights
This warranty is voluntary and sits on top of your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits those rights.
8. Liability
This warranty is your sole and exclusive remedy under the 12-month manufacturing promise. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost time, replacement costs elsewhere, inconvenience) beyond what UK law requires us to cover. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, for breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing law
This warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers based outside England and Wales may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
10. The chafe-free sister guarantee
This 12-month warranty runs in parallel with our 90-Day Chafe-Gree Guarantee. The chafe-free guarantee covers fit and comfort and applies only to bras bought after a MAAREE fitting. The 12-month warranty covers build quality and applies to any direct purchase. Both are voluntary commitments on top of your statutory rights.
