Equal Pay Day 2024: The Fight for Equality Continues

Today, November 20th, marks Equal Pay Day 2024 in the UK—the symbolic day when women stop earning compared to men due to the gender pay gap. It's a stark reminder that there is still a long way to go in achieving gender equality in the workplace.

According to the Fawcett Society, the mean gender pay gap for full-time workers has increased to 11.3% this year, up from 10.4% last year. This gap translates to women earning, on average, £631 less per month than men for full-time work. It's a frustrating and unacceptable disparity that requires urgent action.
